Russian President Vladimir Putin has been sending out New Year's greetings to world leaders, including to U.S. President Barack Obama, urging greater cooperation on international issues such as Syria, missile defense, and Edward Snowden, to foster global stability and bilaterally resolve some of the world's most complex problems.
